Chris took part in the BBC's highly successful ballroom dancing show Strictly Come Dancing. Benefiting the charity Sports Relief , Chris and his partner Hanna Karttunen reached the final , polling thousands of viewer votes each week throughout the 8 week contest .

In Chris's own words........

"I didn't know how it would go and I thought I'd make a fool of myself. Now I'm so glad that I did it. Even though I know I'm not a great dancer it was the best experience."

"It was really difficult at first as I was filming the faiground crash in Eastenders and then meeting Hanna to rehearse in the evenings, so I'd be doing 16 hour days."

"I honestly thought that I'd be voted out after about three weeks. I'm so shocked that I got as far as the final - the public were great and kept on voting for me."

"Hanna and I are definitely going to keep in touch. She was an inspiration and has such an infectious personality. Getting to know Natasha Kaplinsky was also great and we are now great mates - we're both quite mischievous."

"I thought the London Marathon was the hardest thing I've ever done but I can easily say that Strictly Come Dancing was even harder. At least I only had to put one foot in front of the other to run."
